Hawaii Day 2

I got an early start this morning. I woke up about 5:15am and the sun was already up. The nice part was it a perfect temperature to go for a run, so I went running down along the road that runs next to the ocean. It is much easier to run here. The air is easier to breathe.

The rest of the day was fun. It was overcast all day because of what they call the Vog. It happens when the winds die down for several days and the activity from the Volcano creates what looks like an overcast sky. Needless to say, that did not stop us from having a good time. Here are some pictures of the place we are staying in.....

We also took a tour of the fruit garden. They have something like 49 different types of fruit. I never knew there were so many different types of lemons, limes and oranges. They also grow their own coffee for the guests. The one thing they grow that I had no idea about was that they grown their own coco as well. Here are a few pictures of the fruit garden......

For supper, we found a little restaurant where you eat right along the ocean. It was really neat and the food was pretty good too.

Hopefully tomorrow we will make it down to the beach for a while.
