Finally......Hawaii

Well, after a year and a half or so of planning....we are finally in Hawaii. The flight coming over was about 9 hours and we stayed in Honolulu last night. I hate to say it, but the part of Honolulu that we stayed in was nothing to write home about. Surprisingly, I was able to adjust to Hawaii time after one night. Most of us woke up between 5am and 6am and ate breakfast and then hung out for a while before heading to Pearl Harbor to see the USS Arizona Memorial.

After Pearl Harbor, we found this little pizza place call Big Kahuna's. It was the best pizza I have had in a very long time, and the cheese balls - wow!! They gave us free cheese balls because they thought it was cool that we are from Atlanta. The place was so good, some people have talked about eating there again during our lay over before heading home.

After lunch, we headed to the airport to get on a little jet to bring us over to the Big Island. Nothing neat here, just a 30 minutes flight. So far, we have not seen much of the Big Island as it was dark when we got here. But, I got to the house and figured out how to light all the tiki torches and turn the lights on at the pool so I could go for a swim. This place is soooooo nice and I cannot wait to see it in the morning.

Here is a picture I took from the pool area looking back on the "Upper House."
