Is it time to vote yet?

This primary thing takes way too long. Why can't they just hold all of them on one day just like they do with the general election? I mean, McCain has mathematically won the Republican nomination and Hilary and Obama are just fighting of semantics right now. Lets just have the primary for every state on one day so we can get that taken care of so we can have some real debates between the two parties.

Now, this is the second election in a row where I think both candidates are going to be terrible. I do not like McCain because he is old, does seem to have much of a plan for illegal immigration, has barely spoken about education, and he just does not have the presidential look. My big issue with him is that he seems to focus so much on Iraq that he ignores a lot of the issues here at home.

Now, Hilary is a mess as well. First, I wonder how she would communicate with Islamic leaders. She is a woman and they do not have the same respect for woman that Christians do. Also, I think socialized health care in theory is a great idea - but how do you implement it and still feel like you have choice? Hilary wants to tell me what doctor I have to go to. I am sorry, but I want to go to a doctor that I choose and not one that some politician sitting on a high horse somewhere tells me I have to go to. I also think that she is ruthless and will force her will upon the country not matter what WE want to happen.

Then we have Obama. The guy who has not be around for very long so no one truly knows what he is about. I love his educational plan, but I do not like his fiscal policy. I like his idea mandating insurance for children under 17 (basically saying that parents must provide health insurance for minors). I do not like his rush to leave Iraq when all of the military leaders are saying we are making great progress and some now say that we could be finished soon.

The only other complaint I have with this election is that there are far to many idiots in this world that are voting for Hilary just because she is a woman or Obama just because he is black. If you vote because of one of those two reasons, please do us all a favor and stay home.
